UPSC declared the results of the 2025 Prelims examination. Candidates can check the results from upsc.gov.in and download the PDF.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025. Candidates who had appeared for this examination can now check their results and download the PDF file by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
This time around more than 10 lakh candidates appeared for the exam and this exam was conducted for a total of 979 vacancies. The UPSC preliminary exam acts as a screening for the main exam.
Exam and Application Dates:
- Online Application: 22 January to 22 February 2025
- Preliminary Exam: 25 May 2025
- Main Exam: August 2025
Candidates who qualify the exam will now be able to appear in the main exam to be held in August. The application fee for the main exam is Rs. 200, while the application will be free for women, SC/ST and PwBD candidates.
DAF Form Filling Details:
Candidates will be required to fill the DAF (Detailed Application Form) for the main exam. This form will be released by UPSC on 17 June 2025. This form will include important information like personal details, educational qualification, job experience and cadre preference.
How to check the result:
- Go to the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in.
- Click on the link “Written Result – Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2025” on the homepage.
- Find your roll number by pressing Ctrl+F in the PDF file that opens on the screen.
- Download the PDF and take a printout if required.
