Hyderabad: Famous singer Mangli has been embroiled in controversy over her birthday party. The police have registered a case confirming that foreign liquor and marijuana were found at her birthday party. Reacting to this, Mangli released a video on Wednesday night and clarified her stand.
In the video, Mangali said, “My birthday party was like a family event, which was celebrated with family and relatives as per the wishes of my parents. Some friends were also present at the party. Liquor and sound system were arranged, but I was not aware that any special permission is required for this. The party was decided suddenly and no one told me about it in advance.”
She further said, “I have not done anything wrong. There was only local liquor, no other intoxicants were present. The police also did not find anything objectionable during the search. The people whose reports have come positive had consumed intoxicants somewhere else, this has been told by the police themselves. We are fully cooperating with the police investigation. I cannot do anything like this in front of my parents.”
Mangali appealed to the media and said, “I want to be a role model, so I request that no allegations should be made against me without any concrete evidence. Please stay away from rumors and give priority to the truth.”
