New Delhi: Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) President Chirag Paswan on Monday made an aggressive comment against Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah and said that if he was in my party, he would have been expelled for life.
Addressing the media during his Bihar tour, Paswan said, “We are proud of our soldiers. If someone compares them with terrorists, it is condemnable. If such a person was in my party, he would have been removed for life today.”
Vijay Shah made a controversial statement about Army officer Colonel Sophia Qureshi, who informed the media about ‘Operation Sindoor’, calling her the “sister of terrorists”. This statement has led to strong opposition and he is being criticized even by BJP allies.
Vijay Shah later called the statement a “slip of the tongue”, but now the political heat has increased on the issue.
The Supreme Court has also taken serious note of the issue and said that “the entire country has felt ashamed.” As per the court order, a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the FIR lodged against the minister.
